Vero Boquete: the queen of the spanish female football

She started her football carree in the inferior categories of the Xuventú Aguiño de Riveira (A Coruña). In 2005, she was signed by the Painsa Zaragora with whom she made her debut in the Super League. Between 2008 and 2010 she played in R.C.D. Espanyol where she won two runners-up of the League (2009/2010) and two Copas de la Reina (2009, 2010).

In 2010 she went to the United States where she played first in the Buffalo Flash of the W-League (second division) and the in the Chicago Red Stars of the Women’s Professional Soccer (first division). After that, she returned to the Espanyol and in the 2010-2011 season she did her best one with 39 goals in 26 matches.

In the next summer, she returned to the Women’s Professional Soccer where she played in the Philadelphia Independence where she was name the best player and she won the runner-up. After this, she signed by the Energy Voronezh of the Russian’s Top Division, and with this team she debuted in the Women's Champions League.

In 2012 she signed by the Tyresö FF of Sweden. In her first season she won the League (Damallsvenskan) and she was named the best mildfielder of the championship. In her second season she arrived to the final of the Women's Champions League where she score a goal but her team lost. After her time in Sweden, she came back to the United States and played in the Portland Thorns.
In the 2014-2015 season, she went to Germany where she signed by the FFC Frankfurt and with this team she won the Women's Champions League. She became the first spanish football player in win it.

And during her time in Frankfurt, she was nominated among the ten finalists to the Ball of Gold.
In 2015-2016 she continued in Germany but she signed by the Bayern Münich and with whom she won the Bundesliga. In the summer of the 2016, she signed by the Paris Saint Gemain where she is playing now

About the Spanish national team, she debuted in a international level with whe Sub-19 team with whom she won the 2004’s Eurocup. Also in 2004 she participated at the Thailand’s Mundial Championship and she was named as one of the 18 best player of the tournament. With only 17 years old, she was called for the first time to the absolute team. She is the captain of the national team but her most important step with it was the first participation of Spain in the Mundial Championship celebrated in Canada in 2014.

She is the most importante female football player of the history of Spain, and because of that she was the firts spanish player in publish her biography, called Vero Boquete, the princess of the major sport, in 2013. Also in 2013, she started a petition at Change.org, asking EA Sports producers to introduce the female players to the FIFA video game series. The petition was a success so in may of 2015, EA Sports anunced that the FIFA 16 will include 12 national female teams (Australia, Brasil, Canada, China, Spain, United States, France, England, Italy, Mexico and Sweden).
