Kathrine Switzer was the first woman to race with a dorsal in the marathon of Boston of 1967, registering like KV Switzer. She ran the race with the dorsal #261 and she crossed the finish line after 4 hours and 20 minutes. The women have in sport one of the sector where they are most vetoed because for a women to be able to dedicate herself professionally to the sport, would need a lots and good financiations that today are practically imposible. Currently, that situation is changing progresivelly although to a success achieved by a female team isn’t given as much importance as a men’s one.
